I^OBIL TIME MACHINE

The monks having no base for the machine, now that the

monastery had been destroyed along with all other chri-

-stian relecs,We of the Friereichshaven order took to the
plague eaten roads that lay between here and Rome
We went merrily through some of the worste plague areas
our machine pulled by us monks, as we took up at every
chance sovenirs for the pope, tattered cloth from the plag-

-ue victims, pieces of infected bread, a sick child as a
gift to old popey , left squating in some lords home in Rome.
A whine of broken cart wheels harkened our arrival into
village or town often deserted and always in the most rem-

-ote places . A twisted over laiden cart pulled by thirteen
bald headed monks, with toys and junk clanging from evry
available hanging place, the buckled wheels lifted and dr-
opped the cart with every turn of the wheels' A typical
plague time transportation.

Into town we came , in strange clothes found from every
Time zone, wide ties and flowery shirts, space suits and
cloaks, robes of religions not yet invented, magickal wands
in hand, the cart dropping car parts and tin cans all over
the road, plastic Japanese toys thrown to gratfull hands.
Into town with piper monks raising hell from all kinds of
improvised trumpet and horns, ancient drums, shamans
rattles, a thousand peeling astral bells.

We stopped in the main market place, or square of the town

in medieval German plague time, and to the wailing horns

of ganglion, bring on a wild storm, set up our equiptment

and pull the chord to electrical chaos.

We would bombard the town with the mechanical voice of

the devil, demon, god. angel: in fast sucsession booming

louder than heard before in these timezones: random words

°f prophecy, disorder and revolt against this or that lord .
