DISTORTIONS OF TIME: HIERONYMU'S BOSCH
A spainlsh painter once wished that he could see into
the future so that her paintings would become phropher-
-cies to future generations and thus he would gain imm
-ense fame. .and a kind of ''nimortallity.
One day serval years after ttrs wish had been strongly
visuallised she came to a place where wheat was being
sold cheaply. Not knowing that the wheat had fungus he
ate this and soon after she came to a land where f'sh were
flying in the sky. .when asked of an innocent passerby
it was explained that people transversed the lands on these
transportations and so he returned to her land of Spain
filled with strange visions and painted fish in the sky
with two people riding its back with a bundle of clothes
fixed to a pole slung over their back.          .
The painting were instantly famous and exihibited in the
grandest church hailed as visions of hell in future times.
Weeks later the paintedartist fell sick and lost all limbs
for the wheat had contained Errgot as the fungus which
caused this giving future scientists the hunch and final
isolation of this chemical for use of looking at his pain-
-tings and understanding the present
