UNofficial properganda is on the increase.This weeks fig-

-ures show a marked increase in the number of word attacks
thrpughout the empire.The powers that be have issued a
statement telling the population to be particually on the
look out for forms of indocrination assult which ysually go
unnoticed in the home or workplace .They have also assu^'

-red us that although this weeks figures are part'cually
high the overall trend after seasonal adjustments is down.
Police chei.fs are blaming the new " Mind Bombs " that
the terrorists are recently using on inocent theatre and op-

-era audiences. . .There have also been casese just thps
week where a peacefull church meeting was disrupted w'th
this dangerous new developement the propergandists have
addded to their arsenal of already deadly weapons. . .A
special report by our science corispondant follows shortly

And here I turned off uninterested in their science report
.. .after all I was one of the people involved in creat'ng the
"MIND Bomb" that the offical preds was so 'nterested in
recently. .Let me explain what the device -nvolves. .It is
built into an ordinary looking breifcase. .the kind that is
seen on the end of the arms of many of these so-called-
inocent opera goer's. Inside is an alarm clock which is a
timer to set off the tape recorded messages contained in
the case. The device is chained to the seat of the theatre
or church pew alike and the opperator then retires to an
upper balcony to observe the effects in peace. When the
timer sets off the words the disruption that follows becomes
the action. On the tape is a series of meaningless phrases
and words chosen at random. An excellent "properganda"
phases such as " Control disintergrates", "Arson expires"
or "Reason diminishes " set the crowded halls into chaos
with people rushing to the exits and bussinessmen with
fingers in ears unable to hear their.music expensive.

Following the broadcast by the prime minister complain-

-ing about the level of knowledge possessd by school
kids on the subject of drugs we decided to find out some
more.

We had read huxley doors of perception and various other
books in which a certain Owlsey charactor. would turn up
with a rucksack containing the chemical laboratory equipt-

-ment nesseccary for tge manufacture of L. s .d .
It was the obvious step therefore to raise the matter in a
particularly relaxed unhurried Chemistry lession ... .The
teacher there always wore wide collared shirts with flower
type paisley designs.. .a laugthable Head .He supplied us
with the best advert for L. s.d. we could ever get. ..Un-

-intentionally, for he meant to warn us. .
" Never take L. s .d . it is one of the most dangerous drugs
around. . .the most powerfull.. .back in the seventies when
I was teaching chemistry, someone had borrowed the lab.
for a couple of night hours and there was a lot of acid around
. . . .One of my pupils came into a lesson and was sitting
there quite normally when suddenly he stood up on the table
and loudly proclaimed that he was Jesus Christ. . .a very
normal promacing student/school kid before this occurence.
. .He bagan to walk around the room with a piece of every
day wood.. .Alder as I remember. .Claiming to produce mir_
^cles and uttering in strange tongues. . .He caused havoc
turned all my magnesium sulphate into Jasmin Incense and
all the nitric ac'd into wine performed a ritual whereas ev-

-eryone 'n'the room would get an "A" grade w'thout the
slightest work, . .1 had to drive him to the hospital to be
stomach pumped and cleansed on the operating table of this
temporary maddness.. a very unfortunate scene indeed.. so
if somebody does offer you L.s d at a party or in the street
tell them you dont take 't . but if you have to take drugs
then hash is the safest one. .whats more this non-reality
can be contagious, .as I remember all of the pupils in that
year class did get "A" results but not one of them ever held
down a job for more than a week and never got the usual
type of liiving arrangements together, .they prefered to live
in caves or on tops of mountains, .or in the death valley in
Usa. .near the scene of those recent .. .but I digress the
